About
Offline Arcade started as a shared notes doc between three friends who kept losing game progress the moment their trains went into a tunnel. We wanted a place that only covered titles you can open with airplane mode on and still enjoy for an hour.
Every game we write about gets installed on a real phone and played for at least a few sessions. We look at how it handles being offline, whether the controls make sense on a small screen, and if the thing keeps you coming back after day one.,We are not tied to any studio or store. Nobody hands us a script, and we say when a game gets boring or eats your battery. If a title only pretends to be offline and quietly asks for a connection, we call that out too.,The catalog grows slowly on purpose. We would rather write six careful reviews than fifty rushed ones. Readers send us suggestions, we play them, and the good ones end up here.
